Uber Cuts 10% of Workforce in Major Company Reorganization
Uber has launched a major reorganization that will reduce its workforce by 10%, cutting thousands of jobs across the company as part of a broad restructuring effort.
The sweeping cuts mark the company’s latest operational realignment. As part of the broader reductions, Uber is laying off 93 employees in Washington state, specifically affecting engineering and management roles at its Seattle office.
Targeted Reductions Across Divisions
The latest restructuring follows earlier targeted workforce reductions at the company in 2026. In June, Uber trimmed 23% of its human resources and workplace division. In July, the company cut 10% of its customer service staff as part of a shift toward increased artificial intelligence integration.
The latest cutbacks demonstrate ongoing operational adjustments at Uber as technology companies continue to adjust headcount and corporate structures.
